Effective Date: November 15, 2025
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Locatr (the "App") handles information when you use our mobile application. Locatr allows you to share content from platforms like TikTok or Instagram Reels that contain location information, and then extracts and displays those locations within the App. Importantly, we do not collect, store, or process any personal information that identifies you.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please do not use the App.
We do not collect any personal data from you. Specifically:
In summary, the App operates without collecting or retaining any data that could identify, track, or profile you.
Since no personal data is collected, there is no use of your information for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. The limited processing occurs solely to provide the App's core functionality:
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize any data.
We do not share any information about you with third parties.
Although we collect no personal data, we take reasonable security measures to protect the integrity of the App and server processes:
If you believe there has been a security incident, please contact us immediately (see Section 9).
As we do not process personal data, many GDPR rights do not apply. However, for transparency:
EU users (including in Germany) can contact us to confirm no personal data is held. We respond within one month, as required by GDPR.
For non-EU users, privacy rights vary by jurisdiction—please refer to applicable local laws.
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions, per COPPA or GDPR). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please contact us to request any relevant information.
All server processing occurs within the EU to comply with GDPR. No data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The effective date will be at the top. We will notify you of material changes via in-App notices or email (if you have provided contact info, which you have not). Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact:
For EU users, you may also lodge complaints with your local data protection authority (e.g., in Germany, the Bundesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit).
